Low Carbon Vehicle Innovations

The UK’s first centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies- Cenex- will be holding their annual low carbon vehicle event this September.  Supported by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills, Innovate UK (previously Technology Strategy Board), Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, Office for Low Emission Vehicles, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and UK Trade & Investment, it will provide a showcase for UK capabilities and position the UK as a leader in low carbon technologies.

Held at Millbrook- one of Europe’s leading test tracks for testing and developing any land vehicle- from motorcycles, to military, to heavy commercial, and passenger cars- the event aims to “build organisations’ awareness and confidence to adopt low carbon vehicle technologies in vehicles and in fleet operations” via technology exhibits, seminars, networking with the low carbon community, and ride & drive of the latest R&D and commercially available vehicles.

Exhibitors and sponsors include vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, engineering firms, and academia including well known innovators and innovation-focused bodies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Siemens, BMW, Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Transport Systems Catapult, and many more.

Richard Sammut, Innovation Intermediary and Business Development at the UK’s leading innovation consultants IXC, is looking forward to attending this event: “As IXC is the trusted innovation partner for clients within the transport sector, this will be the perfect opportunity to meet new and familiar faces from the industry as well as keeping in touch with cutting-edge and future developments within low carbon technologies.”

IXC will be attending LCV2014 on the 10th September 2014 at Millbrook.
