John came to IXC with over 20 years’ experience in applied research in electro-optic sensors and project management within the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), its agencies, & QinetiQ. He now undertakes a range of technology scouting tasks for a number of clients- specialising in the automotive and rail sector. John has a Master’s degree in Geographical Information Management from Cranfield University and an MA in Natural Sciences- Cambridge, as well as being a Chartered Physicist, and member of the Institute of Physics, Association of Project Management, and The Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society.

His interests include Industrial Archaeology, and transport- particularly classic sailing and long distance train travel (so far he has travelled across Canada, Australia and part of the USA by rail, as well as extensively in Europe, e.g. Poland, Italy, Denmark).
