Caroline Bishop, Managing Director

Following an early career with the NHS, Caroline spent 20 years at the University of Birmingham where she took on a variety of progressively influential roles. Highlights of her career include setting an MBA programme in Hong Kong, and developing and implementing a £2 million, five-university partnership across the East and West Midlands to provide training in technology transfer to medical students.

Caroline was particularly influential in the development of IXC UK, securing £3.6 million of grant funding to set up the initial pilot project. Guiding IXC UK through its early years, she oversaw its spin-out from the University of Birmingham as a limited by guarantee company, and continues to drive the company as Managing Director

Clive Boast, Company Secretary

Clive is an experienced and hands-on finance professional with broad-based experience gained in commercially-focused engineering services and multi-site manufacturing environments. A Chartered Accountant, he was Group Finance Director of Dowding & Mills plc until December 2000, after which he decided to use his extensive skills and experience to help other businesses develop and prosper.

Since leaving industry, Clive has worked for Advantage West Midlands and was formerly a Special Advisor to the Manufacturing Foundation. He continues to promote the interests of manufacturing through work with the Central Technology Belt and West Midlands Industry Foundation.

Jim Panter, Commercial Director

As Director of Sales and Marketing, Jim is responsible for marketing, communications, business development and new product development.
