How it Works

Expertly trained in IXC®'s own unique and exceptionally effective methodology, intermediaries are embedded in their client companies with the brief to understand the organization's strategic intentions and technology assets. Each IXC Intermediary works inside two to six client organizations each week, spending between a half and two days in each.

It is the intermediary's deep integration into, and intuitive understanding of, a client organization's culture and practice that enables him or her to act so effectively.  Knowing what a client needs, in such depth, is what makes it possible for him or her to find the right partners to meet that client's requirements - wherever they might be found.

The intermediary does not, of course, work alone. They are simply the client's access point to the InnovationXchange network and its teams of intermediaries and researchers who work together to match client needs with relevant technologies and know-how.

And, not only do they seek to find the technologies and know-how to make a client's ambitions reality, but the intermediaries will also look to match a client's existing capabilities and technologies to the needs of other organizations, delivering new and often unexpected revenue streams or collaborative opportunities.

Intermediaries are supported in all of this activity through the use of IXC's global, secure database known as the "Vault". The Vault gives the service an international reach, allowing intermediaries to explore possibilities and connections with their counterparts in different geographical territories, uncovering opportunities which could otherwise have been obscured by geographical barriers.
