The IXC Story
Our Heritage
A commercially-neutral and secure global knowledge network, the InnovationXchange (IXC®) has, through its ground-breaking IXC Intermediary® Service, been helping its clients to become more open and innovative since 2003.
Based on the ideas of John Wolpert (formerly of IBM's Alpha Works and Extreme Blue) as described in his 2002 Harvard Business Review paper, the IXC intermediary model has been cited as an exemplar by Henry Chesbrough in his latest publication, "Open Business Models: How To Thrive in the New Innovation Landscape".
Funded by HEFCE and OSI, IXC® UK, part of the global expansion of the successful Australian IXC network, was established to foster collaboration between UK companies, public sector organizations, universities and research institutes.
Adept at identifying both in-sector and cross-sector opportunities and technologies critical to the success of its clients' innovation programmes, IXC UK is helping "UK plc" reap the benefits of open innovation techniques in the face of increasing global competition.
